Course Details

The BSc Nursing Course is a four-year academic course that begins on the date of commencement of a candidate's study of the subjects comprising the nursing program curriculum to the date of completion of the examination.

Terms and vacations are to be followed as notified by the university from time to time. The course of study comprises 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th - year BSc (Nursing).

A candidate shall undergo a course of instructions on the following extending over a period of one/two academic years.

Year-wise distribution of Week Days & Hours of the Course Maximum hours per week per student shall be 36 to 40 including classroom institutions and clinical field practice.

  • 1st Year 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
  • 2nd Year 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
  • 3rd Year 46 Weeks 1480 Hours.
  • 4th Year 46 Weeks 1690 Hours.

Eligibility for Admission

A Candidate seeking admission to the BSc Nursing College in Bangalore must have:

  • A pass in the 10th/+2 Examination.
  • Pass in Two year PUC equivalent recognized by RGUHS with Science subjects viz. Physics, Biology, Chemistry.
  • Obtained 45% marks in Physics, Biology, Chemistry and English. In the case of SC/ST/OBC, relaxed to 40%.
  • Age - completed 17 Years.
  • Fair knowledge of the English language is essential.
  • Should be physically fit with sound mental health.

  • Marks card of the qualifying examination (II PUC/ PDC).
  • SSLC marks card (with the date of birth).
